Growing up, I was surrounded by stories. Whereas most children are interested in tales of mythical creatures, I preferred to hear tales with a human complexion, like how my Grandfather survived the Holocaust and escaped Hungary in the 1956 Revolution. It’s no wonder I was left with a dark sense of humour. This love of storytelling also developed into a passion for film, for the way it visually told stories and conveyed ideas through personal expression. Film has a way of making you think and feel, which is what made me desire to get into the industry and start writing, where you splutter your mind onto a piece of paper, and cinema allows a visual language to develop from this. I am currently working on a feature of my own and am constantly writing scripts, undertaking courses online, attending industry networking sessions, and reading film books to help enhance my experience and knowledge. My long-term aim is to become a scriptwriter and director working on my own projects, which is why I am seeking a position in the industry to develop my skills.
