Hi my name is Charlotte Hewitt, a recent graduate in film production from Bournemouth Film School! I have a great passion and desire to work in the film industry, having studied it from school level. I have experience with various roles, more so I am interested in the camera department. I am experienced on DSLR, Sony FS7, Arri Alexa, SR3, SR2 and had minimal work with RED epic cameras. Taking my work outside of university I was lucky to experience working on the set of Beauty and the Beast for a week. I was mesmerised by the whole thing and it just made me more determined to work in film. The sets were magical and the whole working environment was great. I have also gained work experience at Liquid productions an office based job, therefore it was good to see how a production office works for a cooperate film company. With my university course, it gave me so much confidence and knowledge of making a film from start to finish. The students of the university were all amazing and I learnt so much from a crowd of people all wanting to work in the same industry. Here I completed several films, working as different roles. The films I am most proud of are the graduation films I worked on, first directing a documentary about a singer song writers struggle through bullying and filming a documentary about the female skateboarding world. I love to film documentaries, although fiction is great as well, documentary is where my heart is. When I was at school level I created a documentary with Scallywag Pictures about homophobic bullying in schools. The film was successful as we spoke at a number of teachers conferences getting the film into a few schools curriculum for PSHE. After the crew won the Princess Diana Anti Bullying Award. This definitely inspired me to continue with film as i was so amazed at the difference the film made. It made me want to carry on inspiring others and making change through film. Other than film I am currently working for an events company at three racecourses, and as a veterinary receptionist where I have worked for four years. Although not related to film theses jobs have given me great people skills and other invaluable skills for starting in the film industry. Personality wise I am an enthusiastic, hard working and bubbly. I enjoy working hard but I like to have fun whilst doing it as well. I'm very punctual as I know this is important in film and I can think on my feet.
