After graduating in Liberal Arts and Humanities at the University of Bologna in 2014, I attended the Screenwriting MA course at The London Film School. At the LFS I acquired an in-depth awareness of the theories regarding screenwriting, script reading and script editing. I was also instructed on how the Film and TV industry works in the UK. The theory was constantly combined with the practice, and I graduated from the course in 2015 with a short film script and a feature film script in its second draft. I've further enriched my studies on a three-month course with Neil Arksey (Family Affairs, Doctors, River City) on how to write and develop a TV series, at the end of which I completed a TV series proposal and a pilot script for an original idea. The following experience at Amber Entertainment on a nine-month internship scheme allowed me to gain a more practical, specialized knowledge. Amber Entertainment was particularly focused on books adaptations, so I could observe and learn about which criteria a production team uses to select a project to adapt and how they approach agents, authors, and later on, screenwriters, directors, actors. Among my tasks I had to read unsolicited scripts and write their coverage, read scripts in production and write notes for the following draft, research, invoice, and provide regular updates on the U.K. theatre field. I was also given the opportunity to write an action-thriller feature film for Amber Entertainment, "Children of Solomon" (logline and details to be kept confidential), which is currently in its third draft. In July 2016 I also won the 8th "Great Tv Show Idea" held by Script Pipeline (Los Angeles). The two tv series ideas I pitched were "Awake the Sinners", a dystopian/sci-fi story, and "Bleeding Charons", a drama/mystery set in present day London. I'm currently writing the latter with Script Pipeline's help and support. In June 2017 I was selected for a one-month work experience place at the London-based production company The Bureau. My role focused on development and concerned reading books and commissioned scripts, writing script reports and notes for future drafts, researching festivals and press releases as well as news articles which could interest the producers, helping with phone calls and with the producers' schedules, and carrying out duties as office runner. The following month I was hired as a temporary cover for one of the reception staff members at Casarotto; alongside my duties as receptionist, I was given the chance to read and assess scripts from potential clients. In September 2017 I worked at the 42 Management and Production Company as intern. My role was mainly as office runner and office assistant, helping manage the agents' schedules, bookings and clients archive - but I also had the opportunity to read scripts and watch short and feature films from artists looking for representation. In February 2018 I also interned at Wildgaze Films as assistant to their Head of Development. Finally, in June 2018 I was hired as post-production runner at Molinare, where I'm currently working. During my past experiences I've had the chance to develop excellent writing, reading and verbal skills, as well as problem solving and organizational skills, the ability to meet deadlines, to interact, engage and cater to demanding clients, and to work in a team in order to reach common goals. When my role included tasks as office runner or office assistant, I was able to efficiently follow the guidelines given while also taking initiative to help my supervisors in a smoother and faster way. Computer-wise, I'm proficient in working with both Mac OS and Microsoft XP systems, and I regularly use programs like Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook. As for my experience in development and script reading, it helped me obtain an analytical eye when it comes to structure, characters, plotlines and plot holes. When engaged in a project, I'm able to identify both strengths and weaknesses of a story, writing reports that offer constructive points instead of critiques that are merely destructive and far from encouraging for the artists involved. I'm a charismatic person, very enthusiastic about learning new things and with a huge passion for movies, TV series, and in general every aspect and form of storytelling. I'm sociable, creative, a hard-worker and fast-learner, and most importantly I always put all my heart in what I do.
