An ordinary, unperturbed living room in a rural summer home. A gun, searing since its use, is thrown onto the coffee table as the assailant sprints out of the room. The subtle sound of blood percolating through the beige carpet is unsettling. An officer enters. He intentionally disregards the carcass, takes the weapon and smears any trace of an aggressor. Equipped with an iPad 2, iMovie and my siblings, this may have been my directorial debut. But at 14, a filmmaking career path was something I never really considered. That was until I took an interest in art, visual effects and animation. Creating Lego stop-motions and keying a green wall in my room with FXHome contributed to my curiosity of media. Later, my attention grew towards the art of film and television with obsession with the works of Kubrick, Tarantino and Gilliam. Since then film and television has taken a critical portion of my attention. Studying Media Production BA (Hons) at the University of Lincoln, I have demonstrated competence of several necessary skills including editing, writing, camera operating, producing and most importantly collaborating. Completing year 1 and year 2 both with an average of 71%, my grades are exemplary. Between studying, I enjoy watching films and television, reading and coming up with innovative narrative ideas with friends. I am passionate enough to enact on these ideas; it's finding collaborators that are equally.
