Check out the latest Networking events where you can meet industry professionals, ask them for tips and advice and importantly meet new people, who you never know, might be the person hiring you for your next job!
By the very nature of the film industry, it is driven by people, their talent, experience and by placing trust in others. Building your network of contacts is so important to help your career grow by sharing knowledge and working together, you can not make a film on your own! Networking, it sounds ominous but it shouldn't, is an excellent way to meet new like-minded people with the hope that one day you may work together to further both of your careers. To help you meet new people, MFJF will be hosting a series of informal Networking Events, called Meet the Industry, with Q&As from experienced industry professionals for you to learn from and fellow MFJF members for you to meet. Please see below the for latest events.
For all those interested in a career in development or need to improve this important skill, we are hosting a Development Networking night with Sarah Olley who runs the Script Surgery in addition to the successful industry development networking evenings. She will be joined by Chris Grezo, who works in production and development at Headline Pictures, and is a former MFJF Member, and Ross Murray, Development Producer at Kindle Entertainment.
