One of the stated goals of My First Job In Film is to create a transparent and equitable recruitment process for all new entrants in to the UK Film Industry.


To achieve this goal we aim to encourage and gain membership from all facets of the industry by removing all obstacles we can, this includes any membership fee.


My First Job in Film is therefore entirely FREE for Organisations to use to recruit new entrant positions.

But if you would rather subsidise the use of the site for new entrants to apply to your jobs for free, like several of our organisation members already do, then please contact us via info@myfirstjobinfilm.co.uk to discuss.

Who can Join? Everybody Can!

We welcome all aspects of the industry to join our scheme, either to adopt our recruitment method or to promote yourselves directly to our member. We have created bespoke memberships for the following types of organisations:

Film Companies - inc Development, Finance, Production, Sales, Distribution, Marketing and Exhibition

Film Productions - any professional, budgeted production can use our system to find junior crew

Educational Bodies - Film Schools, Training Providers and Universities

Film Competitions

Film Festivals

Industry Bodies - inc Skillset, BFI, Bectu and all regional and trade bodies

Please remember that all opportunities advertised through My First Job In Film must adhere to the Skillset Guidelines for Work Placement Schemes in the Creative Industries. It is therefore essential that you familiarise yourself with them:
